ABOUT OUR STAFF
WILLIAM HOLMES
For over thirty years, Bill Holmes has been working in film, television, theatre, comedy, and advertising. He started his producing and directing career theatrically with the critically acclaimed sketch comedy show Mulch Ado About Nothing, which resulted in the birth of Compost Productions. Bill has been part of the voiceover world as an actor/director/producer/teacher/manager/agent and he is proud of the incredible percentage of his demo clients and students that have gone on to have successful careers in the voiceover community. Over the last 15 years, he has solidified himself as one of the top demo producers in the nation and an acting coach of the highest regard. Bill went into the feature film business 23 years ago producing the multi-award winning feature films Best Man In Grass Creek, The Barrio Murders and Stump the Band and the award winning documentary Inspire Me:Weightless Flights Of Discovery. His experience with his film projects gave him the idea to start his own post-production company that would cater to the needs of the indie filmmaker. Recently, Bill, along with partners Dave Berges and Jojo Henrickson, have expanded Compost Productions into an award winning, full service production company and postproduction house. Our mission statement: At Compost Productions we make your shit look and sound good! DAVE BERGES Currently, Dave is Vice President of Operations at Compost Productions with over three decades of experience with all kinds of media as a producer, technician, and performer. He started his career in radio, producing and voicing national commercials and was a disc jockey in the 1970’s. (As a consequence, he still suffers involuntary muscle spasms whenever anyone mentions Barry Manilow!) For more than 25 years, he worked as technical manager/line producer for the ABC Radio Network where he coordinated coverage of breaking news and special events and designed studios and systems used by Tom Snyder, Sam Donaldson, and many others. In 2004, Dave co-produced and edited critically acclaimed music videos for the Spanish pop rock band The Mockers. These videos for the songs The Emperor Strikes Back and Mola Guay, OK are still receiving airplay on MTV in Spain. Along with partner Bill Holmes, Dave has produced short films, industrial narrations, motivational videos, and hundreds of radio commercials for Compost Productions. He designed the technical systems used to produce the feature length film Stump The Band and was the go-to guy for all aspects of post-production on this project. The quality of Dave’s work was recognized with a Best Sound award for Stump The Band from the Microcinema film festival in Chicago. With his rhythm and blues band The Pheromones, he's performed for the past fifteen years at venues throughout Southern California and on the Las Vegas strip and written dozens of songs. His work as a producer, songwriter, drummer, and singer can be heard on the song She’s Gone on the Stump The Band soundtrack. JOJO HENRICKSON
